This year in Potsdam the 28th Wind Energy Days of the Spreewind GmbH invited under the motto “When the wind turns” for information, experience and communication. The event from 5 to 7 November 2019 comprised 450 lectures and an accompanying exhibition. This year, SPITZNER ENGINEERS, including its subsidiary 3Dstrong, was also represented with its own stand.
SPITZNER ENGINEERS focused on the very topical issue of the continued operation of wind turbines in the industry. With the product wp.neo we have developed a tool for carrying out analytical verification of the stability of wind turbines beyond their design service life. BLANCAIR was also presented from the Climate Engineering division – the first wind turbine to remove CO2 from the air and thus not only produce CO2 neutral electricity, but also cause negative CO2 emissions. The system was presented using a 3D-printed wind turbine model produced in-house by 3Dstrong. The subsidiary 3Dstrong was represented including a 3D printer for a live demonstration.
A total of three presentations by SPITZNER ENGINEERS were placed in the lecture programme: “wp.neo – continued operation of wind turbines at the end of their design life”, “BLANCAIR – captures energy & cleans the air – a new generation of wind turbines” and “BLANCAIR to X – fuels from water and air”.
We thank you for the great interest in the developments presented and look forward to follow-up discussions.
