The Engineering Office of SPITZNER ENGINEERS is a cross cluster for the aerospace and wind energy industries.

We are specialized in the design and dimensioning of lightweight structures made of composites, especially CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastics) and modern metal alloys. Design, calculation, aerodynamics and also electric heating systems are our main areas of expertise. Starting with the idea generation and registration of worldwide intellectual property rights, we develop innovative and intelligent products, carry out the required approval tests and help certifying in accordance with international standards.

In the context of publicly funded research collaborative projects with the wind power industry and academia, we have developed new components and systems to improve efficiency and monitoring of wind turbines. As a project partner in the aeronautics research program LUFO IV / V, we create concepts and studies for future aircraft structures and develop new manufacturing technologies for carbon fiber components. The combination of air and wind power is our basis for innovation.

Development engineer (f/m)

Your responsibilities:

You develop systems and components in various development and research projects in the aerospace and wind-power industry. Here you take on innovative tasks and implement scientific and technical knowledge into new or improved applications, with a willingness to travel and work in international teams.

Among others you perform calculations on e.g. strength, durability or damage tolerance for components and structures of fiber composites or metals, create concepts and detail design documents for these structures. You communicate and discuss directly with the customer.

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in aeronautical engineering or aerospace engineering
  • You may have 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Experience in the use of fiber-reinforced composites is desirable
  • You are familiar with CATIA V5 and familiar with Nastran/Patran
  • You convince your conversation partners both in German and in English
  • You have creativity and organizational thinking
  • Practical assessment and team spirit are your skills
